Plunge proof and extremely accurate!
I have had this pedometer strapped to my waist for 2 weeks now. It is extremely accurate and I have come to count on it! It even survived a plunge in the toilet! I called my husband (after it had fallen in the toilet and I had reached in and grabbed it without even thinking!)to tell him and he told me I had to review this thing. While it does not say that it is waterproof, I have personal experience that it is. And lysol proof (I had to spray it after it’s gross plunge in the yellow pool of death). I definately would give this product 5 stars. Definately!

Counts revolutions on the recumbent bike as steps
I purchased the Omron Hip Pedometer as part of my New Year’s resolution to move more. It’s my first-ever pedometer.

The “Accurate SmartSensor Technology” says it’s ‘more advanced than pendulum pedometers’. I’m not sure what that means, but it says in its documentation that the pedometer measures the following: steps, moderate steps and minutes, distance, and calories burned. A clock and a 7 day memory that resets at midnight are also part of the package.

When I took it out of the box I noticed the weight - very light. The display is large, so squinting to read it isn’t needed. The display isn’t lighted though, which would have been a nice addition.

Set-up was relatively quick and easy. The battery is already installed, so it’s simply a matter of following the enclosed directions to set it. Proper placement on your hip is essential for the device to work, but that too is in the directions.

One thing that I’m not sure is a good thing or not is that when I ride a recumbent bike at the gym and wear this pedometer, it counts the revolutions of the bike pedals as steps. Yes, I could take it off to ride the bike… but frankly, I love to see those numbers!

Overall I’m pleased with the purchase. I can’t speak to its longevity as a device, but it seems durable and well made. It fits in the palm of my hand (I have small hands) and the clip attaches firmly to my pants whether I’m wearing yoga pants to workout or my jeans while I’m out on my daily errands.

Omron HJ-151 Pedometer
I’m using this for running- I know it doesn’t specify in the details– but you can use it for running. I’ve found that it’s not perfect. It’s off by a bit- it overestimates how far I’ve gone. I’m not sure if it’s consistent with it’s overestimation or not though. I also wish there was an “on/off” button so that it wouldn’t start measuring until I wanted it to. But all in all- I’ve found it helpful in helping me measure how far I’ve run (I’m training for a 1/2 marathon) and I don’t always know how far the distances are…

Poor quality
I have only used this device for three days before it failed. The set button was depressed and stayed depressed making it impossible to change setting. The concept is great but the quality of the unit is poor.

Inexpensive, good design, poor quality
On the surface this is a great pedometer. The price is right. The design is just right. It’s got all the functions you need, including clock, calories burned, distance in steps and distance in miles, and saves up to a week of information. But after a couple of months of sparing use, my pedometer stopped counting steps, or counted every 10th step. I tried resetting, taking out the battery and replacing it, etc. It’s basically a clock now. Caveat emptor.

DON’T BUY THESE DRIVE SUCTION CUP GRIP BARS
One month after the warrantee was up the lever on the suction cup broke. I paid $37.00 for one of these and the replacement part were going to be over $60.00. Go for the Safer-er Grip. Cost is half the price for a better product.

Drive customer service is not good.
The clamping lever on one end of the bar failed after about one year. Drive would not honor their 3 year warranty, insisting that the lever was part of the suction cup which only has one year warranty. For want of a 50 cent part, Drive wanted me to purchase the entire suction cup assembly for almost as much as I paid for the unit in the first place. An overpriced product and poor customer service does not rate many stars. I purchased a cheap (about 25$) unit at the same time as the Drive unit and I use it regularly (3-4 times per week) same as the Drive, and it’s holding up just fine. The Drive unit looks like quality, maybe this was just a flaw but the poor customer service does it for me. I will never buy another Drive product.

Expensive but worth it
I bought this product two years ago when my 81 year old mother moved into a patio home. She will only take baths, so it is very important for her to be independent in the bathroom. She has an entirely smooth fiberglass tub surround. Once the suction cups were applied properly, we had no problems losing suction. In fact, it stayed stuck on the wall an impressive two years to the day we first applied it! A good thing, since I am not around to keep checking it for her. Recently she found that it was not sticking to the wall any more–I think it fell into the tub when she was not in it. I am about to purchase another one of these grab bars for her and expect it to last as long as the first grab bar I bought.

Doesn’t stick to shower
I bought two of these bars. The one I attached to drywall works fine. The one I put in the shower won’t stick longer than 30 min. although I followed all the instructions–cleaned surface, not fastened on grout lines. I contacted Driver and got no help or satisfaction.

Large 10″ Suction Cup 8x Magnifying Mirror with Precision Tweezers
Complete waste of my time and $$$. Mirror fogs immedately and the tweezers are very cheaply made. It wasn’t worth returning due to cost of postage so I tossed it in the trash. Lesson learned - don’t buy from this manufacturer.

Nice for the price
I purchased this item for shaving and tweezing. The magnification is a bit too strong for me, as I don’t like the strain on my eyes. And It fell in the shower and broke, but for the price it was a good item.

Amazing product
I can not live without this mirror. I recently purchased this item because I carelessly left the one I had had for years in a motel room. Incredibly Wonderful!
I do not write many reviews, but I felt I just had to share my joy over these early pregnancy tests. Bottom line…they WORK and the price does not compare with the drugstore pregnancy tests. I begin testing VERY early. (Why not at $0.57 per test!) Just 8 DPO, I got the very first positive. It was quite faint compared to the control line, but it was there. I tested the following 2 days and also had a positive bHCG (blood test) at 10 DPO. The one person I told said I needed to wait two days before my period before the home pregnancy tests would indicate a pregnancy, but that is NOT the case with these pregnancy test strips. I ordered 5 packs (25 total) because I figured I would be testing for several months, but if all goes well…I will have used only about 7 of them. You cannot go wrong ordering these pregnancy test strips. The directions are SIMPLE and you can see results in less than 3 minutes. As your HCG levels increase, you can see a result in a matter of seconds.

Cheap and Sensitive!
These test strips detected my pregnancy at 10 days past ovulation. The positive line was light, but very clearly visible. A first response early result pregnancy test taken at the same time had a line so light I couldn’t see it without squinting (and thinking I was imagining it). I lost that pregnancy, so I’m back for more! And this time I won’t bother with FRER, I’m sticking with these.

Accurate and Inexpensive
I have always wondered about the accuracy of these things, being so inexpensive. Trust me, they really work. I have just gotten three (light) positive results from them and the doctor has confirmed. In fact, these might work just as well as the kind at the doctor - they told me there that the line was very light, meaning that I am not very far along. So if these tests could pick up my not-very-far-along-pregnancy, they must work pretty well.

One note, though: you really do need to wait the five minutes or so before checking the test. I did not see the line show up right away and mistakenly thought it was negative. It was quite a surprise when I returned later and happened to glance at it again!

Work very well and are cheap!
I bought five of these as we were going to start trying earlier this month. Well they work great! I took the first test 8DPO - nothing. I took another test 10DPO and there was a VERYVERY faint line. I really thought i was imagining it. I took another one 11DPO and the the line was stronger. I was sure at this point but my husband was skeptical. I took another 12 DPO and the line was stronger still. Because my husband still was not convinced, this was TTC1 so i don’t blame him, i went a bought a Digital First response test and it said ‘YES’ but it also cost me $20. These test are great and really show the increase of the hormone day by day! I also recommend their OPK strips which I used and we are pregant TTC1.

Great product, especially if you are twitchy about eyedrops like me.
I had gotten a prescription of some rather expensive eyedrops, and kept missing when I’d flinch, blink, etc… The guide works very well (fits some eyedrop bottles a little better than others, I suppose). I also find that if I use this as well as stepping into a dark room so I can’t see the drop coming down into my eye seems to be what works for me. So it basically saves me money and helps me get the right dosage.

customer service sucks, product not good
I bought the alcomate pro a few years ago. it worked for about a month. I sent it in for repair. after 3 months i called to ask where it is. I recieved it a month later. It still didn’t work (5.7) and I haven’t been drinking. Put it in the drawer for four years (I quit drinking, had more fun drinking, so i want to get it fixed) Call 24hr customer support. She gave me another number to call, they were closed. Called her back at another number I had found on the internet. She said didn’t you just call (I guess I had, on another number). That’s when I told her I thought it was a pretty Mickey Mouse operation. Her reply was a very sarcastic reply “why thank you sir and you have a very nice evening” CLICK. My observance with dealing with this company is that they are working from a house in CRACKville USA. Not a professional company at all.

Not reliable
We purchased this with the goal of checking our teens. I was OK with a small margin of error, but what I found was that this device was not reliable at all.

Essentially I tested as follows:

1. Consumed 4 beers within 1.5 hours

2. Waited 30 minutes from the point of my last beer

3. Tested

The results were continually a BAC of 0.0%

This of course is not satisfactory as I would want to know if my kids had consumed as much.

I am not sure that there is a good consumer priced solution, but this is certainly not it.

As a side note, I did email the manufacturer and never received a response. So not only do you get a dysfunctional product, but you don’t get any customer service.

Reproducible results and convenient
My wife and I have owned this for a few weeks and have used it a couple dozen times. It seems very solidly made and the readings seem reasonable, given our alcohol intake, and reproducible (within about a 5% range). A suggestion that seems sensible, although not in the instructions and I can’t prove its importance, is to take in a moderately deep breath, hold it for 5-10 seconds, breath slowly out and then start to breath into the breathalyzer without stopping your expiration. This would seem to best assure a reproducible measurement of an equilibrated air sample from deep in your lungs and not from the trachea, which could represent fresh air that you have just inspired.

Good
I have been using this item for about 3 weeks now. When I go out with my friends we all use it, which is great entertainment. It’s scary how inebriated you really are when you feel almost sober!! This item is reliable, but there is one draw back. You have to stop drinking for 15-20 minutes before you blow. They are not kidding about this. If you blow within just a few minutes, you’ll get some very erroneous readings.

Very accurate!
I did a ton of research before I bought this product and so I had high expectations when I received it. It seems to be very accurate as long as you have waited 20 minutes or so since your last drink (and it sometimes helps to rinse your mouth with water first too for more accuracy). It is very reliable and easy to carry in my purse and very lightweight. I’d reccommend it. Pricey, but a good investment!

Life saver!
I have arthritis in my hip and am awaiting total hip replacement. In the meantime, I can’t bend … if I drop something on the floor it stays there until my husband returns home from the office (so something can be on the floor for up to 12 hours). The “reacher” is a wonderful help. I can not only pick up dropped items, but can retrieve the mail which is dropped thru a slot in my front door, and I can even get pots and pans out of the lower cupboard. I also use it to get food from the lower shelves of the refrigerator. Best of all, I can now feed my 3 cats by putting the food on the plates and then lowering to the floor using the reacher. I’m delighted!

Quality Product for those who don’t need much weight
My girlfriend has been using the Reebok adjustables for about 2 months now. She still loves them as they serve their purpose:

1) Quick adjustments to select desired weight

2) The plates lock in nicely and have NEVER failed or dropped while in use.

3) Comes with nice holder case that allows you to identify the amount of weight you would like to use. The case also secures the dumbbells and allows you to easily place the weights back in storage room or closet when not in use.

The only downfall is you max out at 12.5lbs for each dumbbell. But, plenty enough for most woman who are just toning.

Love the ease of the Reebok Speed Pac 25 Adjustable Dumbbell Pair. Very convenient to use, super easy to adjust the weights. Just love them!

Very dangerous..
This product is very dangerous. Mine broke off while I was using it and destroyed my wooden floor. It could have been worse. It could have hit someone. The plastic which connects the weights to the strut is unable to sustain the torque associated with lifting it in a normal curling motion — which is indeed how dumbbells are supposed to be used. Buy it at your own risk, the risk of your furniture and household fixtures, and the risk of your loved ones. Be very careful with this product. I returned mine and bought something else.

Very Practicle & Cheap What You Get
I bought mine from Target after looking at the ridiculous price of Targets’ individual weights: $10-20/each! I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep them but decided to buy them and give them a try: $70 is a lot to me. NOW I LOVE THEM!!!

PROS: cheaper than individual weights, takes up no space at all, don’t need a special stand for them

CONS: Umm… not as cute looking and doesn’t have colors

Reasonable easy to take off and put on the weight bars. Use them when my personal trainer comes every week and in-between to follow-up.
